Following devastating storms in 1943 that destroyed many crops\, there is hope for 1944.  Although the draft is in full swing\, the farm deferment will spare a farmer who produces 16 or more “war units” per year to remain at home and continue to produce food to support the war effort.  Neighbors are planning their Victory Gardens as they learn of upcoming changes in the ration system.\n\nWelcome to the _____________ home in Marshall\, Minnesota\, a typical home of the time.  Johnny needs your help! His crime-fighting friend has been captured and the Golden Orb is missing.  Find the mysterious Golden Orb\, solve codes\, follow instructions in the messages to save his hero in time for today’s movie matinee!  You have 45 minutes.\n \nRules: Recommended for ages 12 and up.  Only 4 people per team are allowed to compete for each time slot.  Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.\n\nCost: $25.00 per team.  Cash or Check (Made payable to Lyon County Museum)\n\nClick on link to sign up:\nEscape Room at the Museum

Register for door prizes. \n6:00 PM: Executive Director\, Jennifer Andries\, will present on LCHS’s mission of preserving and sharing Lyon County’s history. A presentation of select artifacts and photographs from the collection will be shown. \nLyon County Museum\, 301 W Lyon Street\, Marshall\, MN 56258 \nOn May 16\, 2013\, we held our grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the historical society’s new museum in the former Marshall-Lyon County Library.
